Donate to our Inaugural Spring Rescue Drive!

Be part of our first official fundraising campaign! Now that our internal structure is solid, we need resources to schedule spay/neuter surgeries, take in cats that require specialty care, and generally provide our cats and foster homes with food, supplies, and medical and emotional support.

Urgent Medical Fundraiser: Save Moon’s Life 🌙
The Situation:
We need your help to save Moon. Moon is a beautiful, sweet 2-year-old cat who is currently fighting for her life at an emergency veterinary hospital.

Just recently, Moon’s owner reached out to our rescue to get her scheduled for a routine spay. Tragically, before that appointment could happen, Moon suddenly became incredibly lethargic, stopped eating, and grew violently ill. She was rushed to the ER, where she was diagnosed with pyometra—a severe, life-threatening infection of the uterus.

Moon is only two years old. She has her whole life ahead of her, and she doesn't deserve to die simply because life-saving emergency surgery is out of financial reach.

This is why rescue organizations advocate so fiercely for early spaying. It isn't just about preventing unwanted litters—it is a vital, life-saving preventative medical procedure.

How You Can Help
Moon’s owner wanted to do the right thing, but pyometra didn’t wait. Now, Moon is at the emergency vet, and the clock is ticking.

Donate: Every single dollar goes directly toward Moon’s emergency veterinary bill. No amount is too small to make a difference.

Share : If you can't donate, please share Moon's campaign - you may have friends who want to donate, and just as importantly, you may save a cat by sharing this info with someone who did not know!

Do you know what "Pyometra" is? It’s a silent killer, and if your female dog or cat isn't spayed, you need to read this.

Heat cycles leave your unspayed cats and dogs extremely vulnerable to this deadly bacterial infection. When it goes untreated, it rapidly fills your cat or dog's uterus with bacteria until the uterus ruptures, causing shock, sepsis, and DEATH within days. The good news is, you can completely eliminate the risk by doing the responsible thing for them and getting them spayed. Heat cycles not only put your cat or dog at risk of Pyometra, but their risk of developing uterine and breast cancers also increases with every heat.
If you love your pets, get them spayed and neutered before it's an emergency or it's too late. The only reason I knew to take Baby Deet to the vet right away was because my neighbor's dog had just passed from a Pyometra after having just overcome cancer. 😭 Losing a pet is NEVER easy. Losing a pet over something preventable is a grief that haunts and lingers.
Please make the efforts to always spay and neuter your animals, and if you can, please consider donating to our mission so that we can help members of our community having difficulties paying for spay/ neuter surgeries before it becomes an emergency for cats and people alike.
Please visit Queenscatscollective.org at the link in our bio to send a donation to support TNR efforts and community spay/ neuter relief. Your support makes a very real difference and we are so very thankful to everyone who helps us make Queens a better place for cats.
