Luci

Luci's Story

Luci was found living in a colony with upper respiratory issues. She may have been dumped by a previous owner due to her illness, and was then TNR’d in May of 2025. Luci wants to be loved and find her forever home, but being put on the streets has made her wary of fully committing just yet. Scared but not aggressive, Luci likes to come out at night and hang out with her foster moms from a distance, but loves her foster brother, Slinky and does her best to impress him.

Luci is very content to spend most of her time in a small, cozy space (usually under the bed), but comes out to observe and hang out from a distance. She needs someone who will give her the time and space she needs to learn to trust and accept love from humans again, but we see in her eyes that she wants nothing more than to belong to a family.  When she does come out, she plays with Slinky and on her own, and is the cutest little Soot Sprite we’ve ever seen.

Luci was found with a severe case of the snorts.  She snuffles when she gets excited or stressed, but was cleared by a vet of any upper respiratory illness. She is scheduled for a suspected polyp removal which will help with her obstructed breathing but is in otherwise excellent health and spayed and vaccinated.
